Aileen Orellana considers herself a writer and performer with an affinity to storytelling in any format. She has written short stories, has begun to screenwrite, and with spoken poetry, she particularly enjoys capturing moments in written form. This piece emerged from a low moment in time and thereafter dedicated to the down-trodden and disheartened.
