Episode 248 - “What If Monsters Weren't Real?” by Anna Eaton
My name is Anna Eaton and I am a poet, student, and actress. I reside in Vermont and have been writing poems since I was seven. I want to use my poems to comfort those who feel ostracized and silenced in our world today. I want to create permanent change by inspiring individual voices.

A Statement from Anna:
"I created this piece at the end of 2019. It was originally created as an exploratory piece into my grandmothers Alzheimer's and what life might have been like, for her and for me, if not for the pain Alzheimer's caused our family. However, with time, personal growth, and a smidge of compassion it turned into a poem about how monsters can raise, parent, and change us into the people we are. It’s about how we view our suffering and how more often then not it can spur, our suffering that is, some of our happiest memories.
My deepest desires lie in the wellbeing of those closest to me, and in those I have yet to meet and am destined to cross paths with. I wish more than anything that our world could find peace and I aim to contribute to that cause with my poetry."
