Episode 119 - “A Guided Meditation for Artists & Creative People” by Julia Sims
A moment of meditation.
Julia Sims is an actor, teaching artist, and private coach working in Philadephia, PA. When she's not doing something acting related, she can be found reading (currently a biography about Cleopatra), making mediocre Tik Toks, or painting poorly on her porch. Her claim to fame is that the comedian Chris Fleming retweeted her once.

A statement from Julia:
"I created this piece because I've been listening to guided meditations for about 8 years to improve my mental health and overall presence. It helps me so much with my acting. When I direct shows, I like to lead my actors in a guided meditation before performances to help ease nerves and clear their minds. Some of my private coaching students like it, too, before performing their monologue or scene. I highly recommend guided meditations to those who want to preserve their energy and feel better throughout the day. Just lying down, breathing and listening can help you feel so still, relaxed, and present. Creative people can really benefit from this stillness. It allows inspiration to move more freely inside of them.
Make time to breathe and do nothing in this crazy world, and always create!"
