Episode 148 - “Salvation of Creation”
by Jorgie Buchan
A poem to herself.
A Statement from Jorgie:
"I had felt very lost and dealing with mental health issues, until I found acting and I have continued ever since, now I look for ways to express myself when I'm not performing and this is by writing. I felt it only necessary to create a piece personal to me about my journey. Being creative is how I express myself whether that be through acting, writing, reading or dance. It's my purpose, to create and to share and be creative with other creatives helps me fulfil my purpose to move, help and inspire others. I'm studying to become an actor, moving to Glasgow at 17 from a little fishing town definitely was a taunting journey but one I was ready for. I feel closest to my truest and most authentic self when I'm creating something I'm proud of and is personal to me. One of my goals is to create work that has an impact, whether that be a change or just a smile on someone's face who now feels a little less alone. Focusing more specifically on mental health as it's something that is very close to my heart."
