Vote for the future.
You're listening to "Baby Names," a poem of reflections written by Rachel Malak after the first Presidential debate of 2020.
Rachel is a 22-years-old recent graduate from Fordham University, who's been living back home in northeastern Pennsylvania since the abrupt end to her Senior year in March. She studied English and Communication & Culture and has since been focusing on the h.e.r.LIFE Blogcast, where she and her closest friends have been processing both the small- and wide-scale transition of our current moment. It's a time capsule, an ongoing diary, and a love letter to the friendships that have enriched her life.
"Baby Names" is about hope. It touches on the trauma of recent months, but beyond that, it dreams of a brighter future: one where our kids will learn from the mistakes of generations' past and equality will be readily recognizable in our society.
