A statement from Carol:
“I wrote this piece for the podcast because it mirrors my journey to be happy and stable after a turbulent childhood and traumatic occurrences which I survived. Like my Veterans I work with PTSD tell me, I walked the walk. I’m sharing this now because when people are isolated and fear the unknown it can trigger depression and even suicidal thoughts. We have to reach out and be positive. I care!”
