Marketing & Audience Development Manager – CurtCo Media
​
CurtCo Media is looking for an enthusiastic, podcast-loving marketing manager to join our growing startup team. The podcast marketing manager will wear many hats but is ultimately someone who is a strong executor with an eye for detail, will help us optimize our shows and our social media, and creatively build new audiences for our catalog through a combination of writing, editing, and analyzing results.
Responsibilities include:

Audience Development- You'll optimize every episode before it drops, enhancing titles, descriptions, keywords, show notes, and more, all with an eye toward ensuring a focus on growing listeners and clarity of the show's value proposition. Nothing hits the feed until you've perfected it!

Audio SEO - You have knowledge of best practices in audio SEO and can oversee and enhance the network's keywords, episode pages (summaries & descriptions), and webpages to ensure a rock-solid approach to developing and publishing new content.

Social media - You'll take over the social media feeds for the network and select shows, regularly developing and posting content and campaigns and, as needed, a paid strategy to support growth objectives.

Marketing opportunities - You'll seek out new opportunities for our podcast content.

Collaboration - You'll work closely with the VP to help create and implement audience development plans, show launches, and other initiatives to effectively promote episodes each week and build a community for the network.

Metrics & Reporting - You'll keep the team of producers and talent apprised of both trends and results through regular reporting.

Requirements
-
2-3 years of digital media publishing operations (podcasts, digital ads, audio and/or video), with a strong understanding of industry best practices for content publishing

Previous experience in the development of innovative ways to build podcast awareness and increase downloads

Experience with optimizing metadata & podcasts for SEO

Writing strong & engaging copy for all marketing platforms

Creative, witty writing skills with proven results managing and growing social media platforms

Experience with dynamic environments where no two days will look exactly the same

A passion for podcasting and an understanding of the industry

Enthusiasm for learning and growing and being part of an ever-evolving, super busy startup organization

Experience with podcast host platforms and content management systems a plus

Willingness to both lead & execute

Graphic Design experience (Photoshop, Canva) a plus
